END HOUSE STUD BEVA EQUINE ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION CENTRE

At End House Stud we aim to breed top quality stock. Our high conception rate for A.I. with transported and fresh semen is highly attributable to the expertise of our veterinary partners Dalehead Veterinary Group based in Settle who are British Equine Veterinary Association, approved to use frozen, chilled and fresh semen. We have two in-house fully qualified DEFRA approved A.I. Technicians trained by the BEVA.
 

A.I. SERVICES AVAILABLE

• Fresh Semen from our own Stallions On Site

Recommended for small and or nervous mares or mares that have previously been difficult to get into foal. We have had excellent results with this method. Fresh and chilled semen from our own Stallions is also available for use off site see below on this page.

• Frozen or Chilled Semen from Other Stallions

Frozen and Chilled Semen is available from a wide range of Stallions nationally and internationally through World Class Stallions, contact Jo Holmes Tel 0870 8727799. Simply give us the name of a Stallion or your requirements and we will consult the extensive databases available to find your exact match or a short list of suitable candidates.

• Fresh and Chilled Semen from our own Stallions for use Off Site

Fresh Semen can be supplied from our stallions for use at your mares home base. To be effective fresh semen must be inseminated within two hours.

Chilled semen is available from Stallions based at End House Stud and can be supplied nationwide. For supply of chilled semen a special container (Equitainer) is required. The deposit for the equitainer is £150 - payable when the nomination form is completed. £30 of this will be deducted each time semen is collected and prepared for transport. Costs will also be deducted for the transport of the equitainer, to and from the stud. The remainder will be refunded after 1" October.

• Location and access

End House Stud is located close to the motorway network and accessible directly from the A59 Skipton Clitheroe Road. Access to End House is via tarmac road throughout and we have ample turning space for transporters and trailers.

For overseas clients easy access can be gained from Stranraer, Hollyhead and Hull ferry terminals.
